Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Search for someone who has been in the business for a while, is professional and pleasant during your initial contact, and makes the engagment simple and easy for you. Review their website content - is it professional or is it cluttered and confusing? Check out ours at www.inspectormagic.com

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Is the magician respected by other magicians? (Inspector Magic is often the magician of choice others refer to if they are unavailable)
Have they been mentored by other seasoned professionals by being a member of the Society of American Magicians? (Inspector Magic was the National President of this organization of 6,000 magicians from 2010-2011).
Have they been involved teaching youth or performing for children at schools? (Inspector Magic often performs Character building, Bully-proof, and environment shows for area school assemblies and teaches magic workshops at after-school programs and libraries).
Do they have insurance and been background checked? (Inspector Magic has had a continuous $1 million policy for over 15 years. It has been a privilege and duty to undergo background checks for all Colorado School Districts).

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What do I need to provide for you to perform? (Inspector Magic provides everything - you just provide the audience!)
What ages of children do you prefer to perform for? (Inspector Magic is accustomed to working at daycares for 3-5 year olds. These younger audiences enjoy his fun and colorful comedy and clowning presented in a gentle way. Teenagers prefer the serious illusions, and Inspector Magic delivers. By adjusting his style and presentation, he can accommodate any type of group)
Do you have references? (Inspector Magic builds long-term relationships with his clients, and upon their approval, can provide you direct access to them. Many notable quotes are peppered throughout his website)

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Buyers need to know the date and approximate time of the show, but be flexible in case that time is already taken. Think about the space in your home where all the kids can assemble. Let the entertainer know of any special needs your child (or guests) might need.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Professional. As we begin our relationship, I want you to be completely comfortable and at ease with my service. I want to build this relationship so you, like many of my clients, will consider me again next year or for your other children's birthdays (or for your office party or anniversary celebration). Then, I want to deliver and exceed your expectations.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. YES! To avoid becoming "dated," magicians need to be inspired and rework their shows constantly. Some have been doing the same show they did 20 years ago, with the same jokes that are no longer that funny. The best way to stay creative is attend an intensive Magician Convention. These 3-5 day events include performances by the world's best magicians, lectures, contests, and mingling with like-minded performers. This past year, Inspector Magic attended conventions in Ohio, Buffalo, Providence, Cape Cod, Dallas, Fort Collins, Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. He is the Society of American Magicians' Annual Convention Registrar, currently working on the July 2012 Convention in Las Vegas that will honor David Copperfield. He is the Co-Chair of the 2014 Convention which will feature the North American Championships of Magic.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Start at the library! The local library or school library has a wealth of material that can start you on your path. Then, seek out other magicians by joining the local magic club. The Society of American Magicians (www.magicsam.com) is the oldest and most prestigious magic organization in the world, and there are local chapters in Colorado in Greeley, Denver and Colorado Springs (Inspector Magic is the only one to belong to all three clubs!). At these meeting we mentor and advise all abilities - kids 8 to 17, have the Society of Young Magicians. Also, famous touring magicians may visit and lecture. Inspector Magic has presented a lecture about performing for children for other magic clubs all over the U.S., from Portland, Oregon to Miami, FL and Los Angeles to Cape Cod.

F.A.Q. Inspector Magic did a great job entertaining a fourth grade class at The daVinci Academy. Even though it was the last hour of school before break, the students were spell bound. Although the show was supposed to be for one class, more and more children kept cramming in to see the show and the excitement. Inspector Magic expanded his show to include two extra classrooms very smoothly and professionally, and no child felt excluded.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. Creativity! Inspector Magic has many shows to chose from. Each is different and has a great theme. If you do not see a theme your child would absolutely enjoy, let us know and we will create a one-of-a-kind show just for you!

Q. Do you have a guarantee?†† †††††††††††† Yes! No Risk Money Back Guarantee:

All of my school assembly programs come with a complete no-risk money back guarantee.  If my program is not everything you hoped it would be and more, if the students do not have a great time and if you honestly feel like my program was a complete waste of time, you can tear your check up and consider the program to be on me. For added piece of mind, I'll even donate $100.00 to your PTA for wasting your time. In all of my years of presenting educational programs to schools, no one has ever taken me up on this but I still make it available it to every campus to eliminate any risk.
